Who can use Tamam

• You need to be 13 or older.
• Tamam is free. There are no adverts and nothing to buy.
• One account per person. You are responsible for what is done with your account, so keep your phone locked and do not share your sign-in.

What Tamam is, and what it is not

Tamam helps you keep your prayers, your health habits and your self care. It is a companion for keeping track, not an authority.

• Prayer times are worked out on your phone from your town and the method you choose. The Qibla direction comes from your phone's compass, which can be thrown off by metal and magnets nearby. Hijri dates follow the Umm al-Qura calendar and can differ by a day from your local moon sighting; you can move them in Settings, Hijri date. When it matters, follow your local mosque.
• Religious rulings. Tamam shows the verse or hadith behind each act for reference. It does not give rulings; for your own situation, ask a scholar you trust.
• Health and medication. Health numbers and medication reminders help you keep track; they are not medical advice. A reminder may not arrive if your phone is off, silenced or out of battery, so do not rely on Tamam alone for a dose that matters. Ask a doctor or pharmacist about your health.

The Qur'an in Tamam

• The Qur'an's Arabic text, the English translation and the Qur'an fonts come from Quran Foundation, through the Quran Foundation APIs. Quran data provided by Quran.Foundation. Quran fonts provided by Quran Foundation. English: Saheeh International.
• Page numbers: Tanzil Project, tanzil.net, CC BY 3.0.
• Tamam shows the Qur'an's text exactly as it comes, without changing it. The English is a translation of the meaning, not the Qur'an itself.
• Do not copy the Qur'an text or fonts out of Tamam to offer them elsewhere, and do not use them in a way that changes their meaning or mocks them.
• Tamam is not an official app of Quran Foundation, Quran.com or QuranReflect, and they are not responsible for it.

Your records, and your religious records

• What you record is yours. You let us keep it, and show it to you and to the friends you choose, only to run Tamam.

Friends, khatms and du'a asks

• Share only with people you know, and be kind. Do not use nudges, du'a asks, khatms or competitions to pressure, mock or harass anyone.
• Do not use what a friend shares with you to shame them or to tell others.
• We may remove a friend link, or close an account, that is used to harm someone.

Other apps and services

Tamam can open other apps, such as Tarteel for the Qur'an, and can read Apple Health and Oura if you allow it. Each has its own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

Changes to Tamam and to these terms

• Tamam updates itself, and we may change, pause or stop parts of it.
• If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you in the app before the change takes effect, and the dates at the top change. If you keep using Tamam after that, the new terms apply.

Ending

• You can stop using Tamam and delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we do, we tell you why by email, unless the law stops us.

Our responsibility

• Tamam is free and provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and running, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or right about a prayer time, a direction or a date.
• We are not responsible for a loss that comes from relying on Tamam instead of checking something that is important to you.
• Nothing in these terms limits a right you have by law, or our responsibility for death or injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the European Union, you keep the protection of your own country's consumer law and can bring a claim in your own courts.
